These were some pictures taken while camping in October 2005, in Maine, where we gathered to celebrate the life and recent passing of Grand Matriarch "Granny" Lois. Lois was a great lady, so full of knowledge, wisdom, and wonderful stories. She too is greatly missed, but like my granddad, she lives on forever in the tremendous impact she made on all the people whose lives she touched. I'm sensing a common theme here, and perhaps a good lesson for us all...
This is Lois's brother Matt and his wife Courtney, along with their daughter Sage, and my Rowan. Matt and Coe are also the parents of Bevan and Tucker, to be seen in the following pics. 'Coe' may never forgive me for posting this early morning pic on the WORLD WIDE web, but I thought it was a good picture in a real setting. I've slowly begun to notice that many women seem particular about when you can take their picture. I prefer pictures that catch people in "real" settings versus the staged and polished backdrop. This is clearly a "real" setting as evidenced by Lois's Uncle Dave and older brother John in the background hamming it up. I had stopped poor Coe from diving into the breakfast she finally got a chance to sit down and eat after handling the kids that morning. Like I said, I can be a little evil...
