Even more handcrafted gifts. Mommy basking in the love of her little ones this mother's day. If the date and time stamps look off on some of these posts, it's because I'm still figuring this blog posting thing off and I just switch times and dates on the posts to make them appear in the order I want.
Lo kicked back and read a book all day, after arising at 10:30 am. The kids had also put together a singing trampoline acrobatics mother's day routine. I had to keep them going out and practicing it at 6:45 am. They kept arguing with me about it until I told them that they would wake their mother up if they practiced that early, and what kind of mother's day gift would that be afterall. So, they waited until she got up to go practice it. They've actually been working on it all week. Tonight, I prepared a nice dinner tonight for my wife, kids and parents, consisting of steak, sauteed fresh asparagus, a specially requested diced & seasoned red potato dish, fresh salad with ginger dressing (I bought that), and sushi for an appetizer (I also bought that as Lo had specifically requested sushi). I did the whole chilled glasses, chilled salad bowls, and other little details. Actually, it wasn't that big a deal as I do most of the cooking anyway. The biggest thing for Lo was that I didn't try to draft her into helping me do any of the house stuff and I intervened with the kids whenever they started "going off" before they could disturb her. My mom also seems to really enjoy my cooking. Happy Mother's Day All!
